Loretta Ellen Vaughn-Kaser, 75, of Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday March 6, 2024, at her residence in Mishawaka. She was born on July 28, 1948, in St. Joseph County, Indiana to Wendell and Ledah (Mummey) Vaughn.
On July 2, 1988, she married Robert Dean Kaser. He preceded her in death in 2017. Also preceding her in death was her first husband, Gregory K. Lawson; her parents; and her brother, Bernard Vaughn. Loretta is survived by three children, Christopher Scott Lawson, Tracy Ellen Lawson, Teresa Marie Lawson; two granddaughters, Gracie Lawson-White, Julie Lawson- White; and a son-in-law, Bobby White, all of Mishawaka. Additional survivors include her sister, Edith De Langhe of Jones, MI; a niece, Stephanie Koblick of Jones, MI; a great-niece Ashlynn Goff; a great-nephew, Adam Goff; and many close friends.
Loretta graduated in 1966 from Penn High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bethel College in Mishawaka. She was a member of Grace Brethren Church in Mishawaka and former member of College Park Missionary Church and St. Mark Missionary Church. Loretta was an artist and an avid gardener. She was formerly employed at Strauss Bakery in Elkhart, was an activity director at several area nursing homes and was also employed at ADEC in Bristol.

Cremation will take place and a celebration-of-life gathering will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.
