Albert A. Watchorn

Albert A. Watchorn, 82, of Edwardsburg, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 29, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. Born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, on August 5, 1942, Albert was one of seven children born to William and Edith Watchorn.

Albert proudly served as a Private First Class in the United States Army. After his service, Albert settled in Edwardsburg, Michigan, where he worked as an electrician in RV manufacturing, until his retirement.

Albert was a huge fan of Michigan Wolverine football as well as Detroit Tigers baseball, often sharing his enthusiasm for the teams with family and friends. The only thing Albert loved more than his sports teams was his family. He made it a priority to be there for his children and grandchildren. He coached Little League baseball for his children and instilled his knowledge of the game in them.

In 1985, Albert married his wife, Donna Watchorn, who preceded him in death, along with his son, Thomas Watchorn. Albert is survived by his children, Steven Watchorn (Jennifer), Tim Hiland (Shawn), George Hiland (Megan), and Cyndi Hiland. Albert is also survived by eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with his care.
