Amanda Marie LaGrand

ELKHART-Amanda Marie LaGrand, 36, passed away May 21, 2021 at her home in Elkhart.  She was born March 7, 1984 in Elkhart, IN to Kenneth LaGrand & Lori (Amiss) O’Dowd.

  Surviving are 2 daughters, Alexis LaGrand, Olivia Hernandez, her father, Kenneth LaGrand, 3 siblings, Eric LaGrand, Celena Fedlle, Lindzi O’Dowd, paternal grandmother, Karen McBride, maternal grandmother, Jack Amiss, Grandpa, Jordan Hedrick, adapted daughter, Judy Amiss, a girlfriend, Michelle Shelley and 3 stepchildren, Jennifer Shelley, Destiny Shelley, and Bryn “Bren” Shelley.

  Amanda enjoyed writing, listening to music and spending time with her family.  She was a natural born leader and was considered a mom to everyone in the neighborhood.  She will be remembered as a strong and beautiful woman that always put her children first.

  A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset expenses.
