Anita Jean Green

ELKHART- Anita Jean Green, 67, of Elkhart, died Friday June 4, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born April 13, 1954 in LaPorte County, Indiana to Carl W. and Isabel Ruth (Beatty) Albertsen.

     Her husband John Green of 43 years preceded her in death on June 13, 2018.  Surviving are 4 siblings Angela A. Albertsen of Westfield, IL, Leslie C. Albertsen of Elkhart, Amy (Tom) Thorne of Denver, NC and Alma Stone of Deridder, LA.

Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 brothers, Sidney, and Jay Albertsen.

     Anita was formerly employed as an accountant for many years at Mid-City Supply in Elkhart.  She was a member of the Church of God International, she enjoyed reading, gardening and was an exceedingly kind and gentle soul.

     Cremation will take place and graveside service will be held at Chapel Hill Veterans Gardens in Osceola, In. on Thursday June 24, 2021 at 12:30 PM   Her brother-in-law Tom Thorne will preside.

There will be a Celebration of Life following at Cobus Creek Park - 30680 CR 8 Osceola, In. 

     Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.
