Anthony James Wells

ELKHART – Anthony James Wells, 33, of Elkhart, died Tuesday November 23, 2021, in the Emergency Room at Elkhart General Hospital from an apparent heart attack.  Anthony was born March 16, 1988, in Elkhart to Mary Russell and Albert Wells.

Anthony graduated from Adult Education at Elkhart Community Schools. After graduating he was a manager at Popeyes and later was employed at Statewide Window for many years.  His last place of employment was at Heartland RV.

Anthony was a devoted father who loved his kids. He loved making music and fishing. He especially enjoyed planning and attending fun activities with his kids.  Anthony had a fun, kind, free spirit and didn’t mind taking risks.

He is survived by his mother Mary Russell, father Albert Wells, a daughter Willow Wells, and a son Jaylen Wells. Additional survivors include his honorary son, DJ Johnson, and Heather Wong (mother of his children); sisters April Wells and Michele Howard; brother Dillon Wells; his girlfriend, Roushea Slusher and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and friends. Also surviving are 2 special friends Mike Woolvine and Joshua Villela.

Anthony gave his life to the Lord at an early age. I know God is the only righteous judge. I thank God for all the years he shared Anthony with us.

Elkhart Cremation Services is honored to be entrusted with his care. There will be a Love Gathering for Anthony on Saturday December 4, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at the Antioch Glory Center Church (Town & Country Plaza) 2437 Miracle Lane, Mishawaka, IN 46545.

Presiding will be Apostle Jeff and Pastor Kim Wilson.

The family of Anthony J. Wells thank you with deep appreciation for the many expressions of love, prayers, and kindness.
