Arthur Paul Krop

ELKHART- Arthur Paul Krop, 82, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Sunday June 22, 2025, at his residence in Elkhart.  He was born August 11, 1942, in Oak Park, IL to Paul & Dorothy (Bateman) Krop.

He married Patricia Scheetz on August 21, 1992.  She preceded him in death on August 24, 2022.  Surviving are 4 children, Arthur “Art” Krop, Wanina Chambers, Joel (Jane) Krop, Josh (Dawn) Krop; 2 stepsons, Rick (Jodi) Hooker, Jerry Hooker and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and daughter, Sueanne Stein.

Arthur was a US Army veteran and was honorably discharged.  He was a member of the DAV, the Bristol American Legion Post #143 and the Eagle Lodge #4523 in Moore Haven, FL.  Arthur enjoyed fishing and spending winters in Florida.   He was formerly employed as a truck driver for Old Fort Building Supply.

In keeping with his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care.
