Becky Sue Coshow, 71, of Niles, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on October 14, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 13, 1954, at Memorial Hospital to Oliver and Billie Proud.
Becky married the love of her life, Jim Coshow, and together they built a family rooted in laughter, warmth, and faith. She was a devoted mother to Tony (Amanda) Coshow, Tracie (Stephen) Coshow, and Brad Coshow, and a loving stepmother to Brandy (Albert) Tom and Lisa (Garry) Beuk.
She was the proud grandmother of Alicia (Jacob) Serdel, Alexis (Alek) Horvath, Javier (Priscilla) Garcia, Cambrie Lotsbaich, Davis Lotsbaich, Wyatt Coshow, Alaina Coshow, Kolbie Coshow, Brelyn Coshow, Keaton Coshow, Cody (Gabby), Amber, Daelin Henderson, Anna (Izzy) Mendoza, Andy Beuk, and Jessica Beuk. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her great-grandchildren ̶ Jase Serdel, Mila Serdel, Rylee Garcia, and Kolbe ̶ who lovingly called her their “Nana.”
Becky is survived by her sisters Peggy (David) Anson, Connie Lechlitner, and Pat Proud, as well as her niece Kristal Kelly. She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Billie Proud, brother Michael Proud, and great-granddaughter Raegan Garcia.
Becky worked many years in the bakery at Martin’s Supermarket, where she retired after serving her community with kindness and a smile that could brighten anyone’s day. After retirement, her heart remained devoted to caring for her grandchildren and volunteering her time with Life Plan and her church.
She loved taking long walks with her daughter, cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events, and playing APA 8 & 9 ball pool, where her friendly competitiveness and laughter made her a favorite among friends. Becky was spontaneous, caring, and full of life ̶ always the first to help, the last to complain, and the one who made every gathering a little brighter.
