Bernard "Butch" Eugene Crusie, Sr

ELKHART-Bernard “Butch” E. Crusie, 80, passed away March 5, 2026, at his home in Elkhart.  He was born December 22, 1945, in Sheldon, IL.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond & Ellen (Fawbash) Crusie, his wife, Myra Crusie, 2 siblings, John, and Mary.

  Surviving are 2 children, Gene (Michelle) Crusie Jr., Paul (Nicole) Crusie, 8 grandchildren, Joshua (Madison), Spencer (Kaisee), Nicholas (Amanda), Hannah, Delanie, Sydney, Noah, McKenna, 6 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Shirlee Hayden.

  Butch was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran, that enjoyed fixing/tinkering and listening to H.A.M. Radio.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
