Betty Lucille Mann

Betty L Mann, 75, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away at The Waters of Wakarusa on March 1, 2026.  She was born July 29, 1950, in Elkhart, Indiana to Jerry and Cleo Hayes.

On February 21, 1969, she married James “Jim” Mann, he survives along with 2 children, Brett (Kelli) Mann of Goshen, Indiana and Damie (Greg) Jones of Edwardsburg, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sandra Shupert, Jerry Hayes and Dennis Hayes.

Betty was an adventurous grandmother to 7 grandchildren, Linden (Tiara) Jones, Dakota Jones, River Jones, Jacob Mann, Jett Mann, Piper Mann and Cooper Mann. Her 4 great grandchildren, Owen, Juniper, Josie and Norah brought her great joy.

She was an avid bowler, winning the Elkhart Truth Rolloff in 1988 and she was inducted into the Elkhart Women’s Bowling Association Hall of Fame. She also enjoyed playing softball for many years.  She loved watching her son, Brett and grandsons, Linden and Jett race sprint cars.

Betty enjoyed vacationing with her daughter and grandkids. She would zipline, parasail and hike, always ready for an adventure. During the last year of health issues she was cared for by her children and friend, Rachelle Williams.

A celebration of life will take place on Sunday March 8th, 2026, from 1:00-4:00 PM at the Edwardsburg American Legion, 25751 US 12, Edwardsburg, MI 49112.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Betty was a huge animal lover owning several dogs and cats over the years.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart Humane Society.
