Beverly Jean Green

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Beverly Jean Green on Thursday, February 13, 2025, just days before her 78th birthday, after a long and courageous journey with Alzheimer’s disease. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Alverda Green; brother, Dennis Green; nephew, Breton Green; and many other family members, welcoming her with open arms.

She is survived by her loving children, Tony and wife Tara Green; daughter, Liza Green; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexis Mayou, Vanessa Mayou, and Chandler Green, who will forever carry her love, her laughter, and her wisdom with them. 

Beverly was born on February 21, 1947, in Elkhart, Indiana, where she resided until she passed away. She started working at Selmer’s at the young age of 18, where she eventually retired after 30+ years when the company closed. She then attended Ivy Tech to earn a degree as a paralegal and worked for the prosecutor’s office until she retired in 2018.

Beverly lived a life full of love and devotion to her family, always present in the moments that mattered most. She found her greatest joy in simply being with the people she loved – cheering proudly at her grandchildren’s extracurricular events, joining family vacations, or making the kitchen a place of laughter and flour-covered memories during late night baking of her outstanding sugar cookies, zucchini bread and pumpkin pies.

Beverly was a woman of small stature, yet her spirit was a force to be reckoned with. Her heart was vast, filled with love and warmth that embraced everyone she met. She lived with quiet strength, radiating kindness into the lives of those around her, and her laughter had the power to fill a room with joy. Even as Alzheimer’s wove its own threads through her mind, the essence of her resilient heart never faded – love, after all, does not forget. 

A service to celebrate her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Bristol Community Church, 201 S. Division Street, Bristol, IN. Visitation will be from 1:00pm until the time of service at 3:00 pm.

In honor of her memory, the family kindly requests donations be made to an Alzheimer’s foundation to support research and awareness.
