Billy Haley

Billy Haley, 66, of South Bend, IN passed away peacefully on April 5, 2025. Billy was born to Junior and Janice Haley on July 31, 1958. He attended Marcellus High School before joining the United States Navy where he served 12 years of active duty followed by an additional 4 in the Navy Reserves. Billy went on to work at Utilimaster in Bristol, IN before retiring in 2021.

Billy enjoyed spending time with his family and was a connoisseur of sweet treats, particularly peanut butter pie. He loved to play darts at the Marcellus VFW where he was a member for many years. He found joy in working on cars and being in the company of his dogs. Billy was also greatly looking forward to the arrival of his first grandchild.

Billy is preceded in death by his father, Junior Haley, as well as his sister, Tammy Haley.

Billy is survived by his children; Jonathan (Courtney) Haley, Amber Haley, and Jeremiah Haley; his mother, Janice Haley; his siblings; Gerald (Muriel) Haley, Faith (Nick) Haley-Caro, Karen (Robert) Haley-Rickard, Greg (Tammy) Haley, and Stacey (Kurt) Haley-Smit; as well as special friend, Kathy Nance.

Billy will be inurned at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Battle Creek, MI. A celebration of life honoring Billy will be held on Saturday, April 12th, at noon at VFW Post #4054 located at 53550 S. Centre St. Marcellus, MI 49067. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to support Billy’s beloved VFW Post #4054.
