ELKHART-Billy R. Stevens, 74, passed away April 4, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born October 21, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to the late Elmer & Cleta Mae (Oney) Stevens.

  On March 30, 1991 he married Debra Cochran; she survives along with 1 daughter, Dodie (Tony) Schaaf, 1 granddaughter, Kira, 4 siblings, Harry (Maureen) Stevens, Brenda (Michael) Conley, Gene Stevens, Barbara Hoffman and numerous nieces and nephews.

  Billy owned a Marina for many years, enjoyed woodworking, tinkering with cars, riding a dune buggy, fishing, camping, and traveling.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  He will be remembered as having a heart of gold and being a kind soul.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada, Ohio at a later date.  

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
