Bonnie Ellen Russell

Bonnie Ellen Russell, 73, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born on September 27, 1951, in Jackson, Michigan, to Max Levi and Florence "Jane" (Johnson) Kellenberger.

She married Bruce Eugene Russell on August 1, 1967. He survives along with four children, Todd Russell of Bristol, IN; Kim Yoder of New Paris, IN; Dennis (Brandi) Russell of Bristol, IN; Jennie (Greg) Cooper of South Whitley, IN; 11 grandchildren, Nathaniel Russell, Jane (Stephen) Kauffman, Ellen, Jack and Bruce Yoder, Adaline, Allison, Mattie and Clara Russell, Emilie (Joey) Marturano, Eden Rolon; three great-grandchildren, Nicola and Domenico Marturano, and Theodora Kauffman. Also surviving are four siblings, Henry Kellenberger of Marshall, MI; Ann Kellenberger of Riverview, MI; Lynn Cribley of Dansville, MI; Dale (Sue) Kellenberger of Munith, MI; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Max "Jack" Kellenberger; her mother, Florence "Jane" Kunzelman; brothers, Paul, Dick and Max Kellenberger; brother-in-law, Leo Cribley; stepfather, Dwight "Bud" Kunzelman; and great-grandson, Ander Rolon. 

Bonnie faithfully attended Northside Baptist Church. She was involved with the food pantry program at the church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, gardening, canning and doing puzzles. Bonnie was a retired bank branch manager.

Please join the family at a memorial service to honor the life of Bonnie Russell at 12:00pm on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Northside Baptist Church, 53198 County Road 9, Elkhart, IN. Contributions in memory of Bonnie may be donated to the family, to be distributed to several different charities and organizations.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
