Brenda "Bree" E. Wright

Brenda “Bree” E. Wright, 36, passed away on February 13, 2025, at her home in Elkhart. She was born on October 23, 1988, in Grand Rapids, MI.

On April 22, 2017, she married George Wright III; he survives along with two children, William Hicks, Alexis Wright; four siblings, Niki (Matthew) Whalen, Corey Drayton, Cory Murnane, Jammi Bullis; her stepfather, Timothy Pickart; and numerous nephews.

Bree was preceded in death by her father, Don Murnane, and her mother, Elsie Drayton-Jackson.

Bree graduated in 2006 from Lakeland High School. She was very artsy and enjoyed drawing, photography, music, dancing, hiking, and cooking. Bree was an epic party planner who was truly the life of the party. She will be remembered for how truly good-natured she was, always giving others the benefit of the doubt, her free spirit, and being feisty all the way to the end.

The family would like to give a special thank-you to the nursing staff at Elkhart General Hospital and the ladies at A.I.C. for the wonderful care they took of Bree. 

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ribbon of Hope.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date. 

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
