Brunhilde "Hilda" H. Bickel

Brunhilde “Hilda” H. Bickel, 84, passed away May 7, 2024, at Hubbard Hill Estates. She was born May 27, 1939, in Trier, Germany to Bruno & Elizabeth Kohrt. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Kenneth Bickel, and a daughter, Helena Slocum.   

Surviving are 3 children, Kenneth Bickel, Tamara Bickel, Timothy Bickel, 3 grandchildren, Amy (Jeremiah) Montgomery, Hans Bickel, Trevor Bickel, and 4 great-grandchildren.

Hilda was a member of the D.A.V., V.F.W., and the American Legion.  She enjoyed playing bingo, mushroom hunting and making memories with her family.  She will be remembered as a strong, independent, honest, and opinionated woman with an unparalleled devotion to her family. 

Per her wishes cremation will take place and a private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
