MIDDLEBURY- Carol Lynn Looy, age 75, a widow, sister and loving mother of 5 passed away on May 2, 2023 at The Laurals of Goshen. Carol was born on September 15, 1947, in Kentucky, a daughter of John and Gladys (Johnson) Francis. She married Peter Looy in June of 1969. He passed away May 3, 2019.
Carol loved to write. She wrote many stories over the years that kept the family entertained. She also loved spending time with her family. Carol loved to sit around the kitchen table and play cards or just talk (or debate) with family/friends. There were many laughs and tears around that table over the years.
Carol had many talents. She was a writer, a business owner and even a truck driver. She had a love for traveling so she decided to be a team driver with her husband for Westside Transport.
Surviving is her son, John (Tammy), and 4 daughters, Barbara, Stephanie (Kevin), Samantha and Jessica (Andrew). Her granddaughter, Kristin (Brandon) and 2 great grandchildren, Brooklynn and Leighton. Also surviving is her brother, Richard.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
