ELKHART- Carol Jean Rouch,91, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday June 28, 2020 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1929 in Elkhart County, IN to the late James G. & Jennie (Fay) Miller.
On March 30, 1949 in Elkhart she married James Rouch, he passed away in May of 2007.
Carol is survived by: two daughters; Debra (Thomas) Deane and Mary Beth Hackman, both of Elkhart, six grandchildren; Stephen (Aimee) Deane, Rebecca Deane, Kelly Deane (Fiance Matt LeCount), Paul Vescelus, Seth (Tashina) Witmer and Steven (Natalie) Witmer, 11 great-grandchildren; Andrew Boothe, Megan Boothe, Samara Deane, Riley Deane, Kyden Nesbitt, Skyla Nesbitt, Noah Taylor, Charlie Witmer, Findley Witmer, Josie Witmer, Matthew LeCount, a son-in-law, Ike Hullinger and close family friends, Pam and Lynn Trittipo.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, her spouse, 9 siblings, two children; Jan Ellen Rouch, James E. Rouch and a grandson James Rouch.
Per Carol's wishes there will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. A graveside service for the family will be held at 11:30a.m On Tuesday July 7th ,2020 at Prairie Street Cemetery where family friend Lynn Trittipo will provide the eulogy.
Carol graduated from Elkhart High School in 1948 where she went on to work for Carriage Cleaners for 32 years. Carol was baptized at the United Missionary Church. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Elkhart County Humane Society.
