Carolyn T. Cameron

Carolyn T. Cameron, 81, of Elkhart, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Center for Hospice Care, Esther’s House, in Elkhart. She was born on November 1, 1942, in Sheffield, Alabama, to John Wesley and Doris (Burleson) Tharp.

She married Climis Cameron, who preceded her in death. Also preceding in death were her parents; two children, David Phares and Donna Alwine; and two stepsons, Troy and Randy Cameron. Surviving is a son, Matthew C. (Autumn) Cameron of College Station, TX; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, M. Dianne Abernathy.

Carolyn was a retired LPN and worked at St. Paul’s Retirement Community in South Bend, IN. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, listening to country music, collecting antiques, and doing medical research. But most of all, Carolyn enjoyed spending time with her family.

Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services. Memorial contributions may be given to the Hospice Foundation, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
