Carolyn Walters Obituary

ELKHART-Carolyn B. Walters, 72, passed away November 1, 2020 at the Elkhart Hospice House. She was born January 17, 1948 in Knoxville, TN to Joseph Owensby & Evelyn (Scates) Ersland.
On July 9, 1987 she married Gary Walters; he preceded her in death on July 26, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, 4 siblings, Gregory Owensby, Johnny Owensby, Evelyn Bjorkland and Theresa Shanholt.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Donna Owensby, Leslie Braddock, Sheri Hiatt, Barbie Gibler, 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is 2 siblings, Betty (Norm) Lester and Harvey Owensby.
Sue was a member of the D.A.V. # 19 and enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and going to the casino.
Per her wishes there will be no services and cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
