ELKHART-Catherine “June” Jarrett, 87, passed away April 26, 2021 at her home in Elkhart. She was born June 29, 1933 in Montpelier, IN to Herbert & Reba (Eley) Minniear.
On January 31, 1954 she married Floyd Jarrett, Jr; he survives along with 3 children, Louis Jarrett, Lisa (Vaughn Heflick) Jarrett, Edward (Rosa) Jarrett, 4 grandchildren, Andrew (Ilona) Heflick, Katherine (Mike) Tosta, Eddie (Guadalupe Duarte) Jarrett-Montano, Megan (Devin Brewer) Jarrett-Montano, and 1 great-granddaughter, Danielle. Also surviving are 2 siblings, Billie Moore, Joe Minniear and numerous other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 siblings, Alice Zarek and Deloris McMullin.
June was a teacher for over 25 years, most recently with Elkhart Memorial High School. She enjoyed reading and traveling annually to Stratford, Ontario for a Shakespeare festival. Most dear to her heart was her family with whom she loved to spend her time.
Per her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
