Catherine W Kyle

ELKHART-Catherine “Ms. Cat” W. Kyle, 83, passed away August 31, 2023, at her home in Elkhart.  She was born May 16, 1940, in Clarksdale, AR.

  Surviving are 6 children, Anderson (Anna) Kyle III, Patricia A. Kyle, Carlyn Johnson, Metral C. (Phillip Austin) Binion, James Kyle, Adell Kyle, a stepdaughter, Carlor Carroll, host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 7 siblings, Joe Williams, James Williams, Willie Williams Jr., BabyIonia Green, Cleola Jefferies, Dorothy Jackson, and Fannie Williams.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Sr. & Mariah Williams, 4 siblings, Walter Williams, Otha Williams, Estella Williams, Irene Williams, and father of her children, Anderson Kyle Jr.

  Catherine worked hard her whole life and in her spare time enjoyed quilting, antiquing, restoring many brass items to their former glory, and gardening.  She was very involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s lives, always making sure she attended all of their events and being there for them in any way she could.  Catherine was a true grandmother in her community, and many came to her for her wisdom and life experience.  She was also a member of Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.

  Per her wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

  Memorial contributions may be given to any local cancer organization. 

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
