Charles Anthony King

Charles Anthony “Tony” King, 66, of Constantine, Indiana, passed away peacefully on October 8, 2025. Born on March 1, 1959, in Gary, Indiana, Tony was the beloved son of Charles Andrew King and Jonnie Anne McBrayer.

Tony lived a full life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and an unmistakable sense of humor. A proud retired truck driver, dispatcher, and driver trainer, he spent decades on the road, earning the respect of his peers and forming friendships across countless miles. His dedication to his work reflected his strong will and tireless spirit.

e shared his life with his life partner, Mona Burch, with whom he built a loving and supportive partnership since Valentine’s Day 2014. He was a devoted father to his son Joshua A. King and a proud grandfather to Dionna King-Payne. Tony was also a second father figure to Mona’s children, who loved and respected him deeply.

Tony is preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Courtney Michelle King, who, as the family lovingly says, “prepared the way.” He is also survived by his brother Don King, daughter-in-law Natosha L. King, and many extended family members, including Tom and Sheena Burch, Amanda and Jesse Stiles, and their children.

Tony will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, sharp wit, and the way he made everyone feel welcome. His laughter filled every room he entered, and his love for family was unwavering.

In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place, and there will be no formal service. His family will honor his life privately.
