Charles Eugene Wright

Charles “Charlie” Eugene Wright, 68, of Cassopolis, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025, with his family by his side. His life began on October 8, 1956 in Cassopolis, Michigan, born to Charles and Margaret Wright. He married Lori Burmeister on May 1, 1976 in Cassopolis.

Charlie had a lifelong passion for the Michigan Wolverines, classic cars (especially Corvettes), the Detroit Lions, westerns (especially with John Wayne) and his family.

Charlie is survived by the loves of his life: his wife, Lori; his daughter and son-in-law, Kelli and Patrick Lubawy of Cassopolis; and his four grandchildren, Ethan (fiancée, Pauline Knilans) Richardson of Elkhart, IN; Logan Richardson of Elkhart; Andy Richardson and Evie Richardson, both of Cassopolis. Charlie is also survived by two brothers, Max (Kathy) Wright and Kevin (Becky) Wright; one sister-in-law, Sandy Wright; and a host of nieces and nephews, numerous special friends, and coworkers at ARBOC Specialty Vehicles.

Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Robert Wright and Richard Wright; and one sister-in-law, Linda Wright.

Family and friends will gather on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 11:00AM until time of service at 12:00PM at Penn Friends Community Church, 19107 Quaker Street, Cassopolis, Michigan, for a time of sharing memories and telling stories.
