Chineeta Sanders Obituary

MISHAWAKA-Chineeta M. Sanders, 71, passed away October 2, 2020 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. She was born July 26, 1949 in Niles, MI to Alfred L. & Wydennia M. (Jeffries) Busby.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Theodore “Larry” Bass, Milan Bass, Alfred Busby, Jr., and 1 grandson, Kayson Evans.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Sharon Taylor of Leland, NC, Shirley (Craig) Emerick of Elkhart, IN, 5 grandchildren, Emili (Chris Munn) Evans of Elizabeth City, NC, Chloe Emerick, Brandon Emerick, Shelby Emerick, and Brady Emerick all of Elkhart and 1 great granddaughter, Evelyn Munn. Also surviving are 3 sisters, Myrna Copley of Douglasville, GA, Shirley Lawson of Statesville, NC and Sharon (Rev. Norman) Tubbs of Cassopolis, MI.

Chineeta was a member of the Calvin Community Chapel in Cassopolis, MI and in her spare time enjoyed watching sports, doing crosswords and was known to always have her Pepsi with her.

Per her wishes there will be no services and cremation will take place.
