Clara M Wagoner "Toots", as she was affectionately known, passed peacefully on Tuesday September 2, 2025, at home, with loving support from hospice. Thank you so much to Anita, Lashawn, Vanessa, Tosha, Amanda and Scott, with Corewell Health Hospice. Toots was born, on May 8, 1943 to Alice L (Archambeault) and Lawrence T Dye. On November 21, 1964, she married Terry L Wagoner, son of Max and Jean Wagoner. Toots is survived by her husband of 60 years and by her five children and their families: Gordon & Stephanie Wagoner and their children Emily & Trevor Milliken, Andrea & Matthew Baldwin and their son Oliver, Dawn Wagoner and her daughter Allie Wagoner with family pup Franny, Eric Wagoner & Regina Stitsworth and their children Krystal & Terry Shock and their daughters Elena and Raleigh, Marissa Wagoner and her life partner Logan Kelly, Donna & David Hofstra and Brett & Jannette Wagoner. Grand daughter Morgan Wagoner and her children Ryland, Emery, Micah and MaKenna.
Toots was one of 12 children and is survived by her brother Clarence "Buddy" & Connie (Wagoner) Dye. Toots is survived by many nieces, nephews, family, friends and by her husband's 10 siblings and their families, who claimed Toots as their own, always loving and supporting her.
Toots is preceded in death by her parents, 8 sisters and two brothers, her in-laws, and our family dog Boone, who was her steady companion. Toots worked outside of the home, waitressing before marriage, at Economy Chop Suey in South Bend, cashiering at Joe's VanBuren Market, after marriage, waitressing at Elkhart's toll road plaza restaurant and Elsie Rogers School.
Toots enjoyed crosswords, coffee, watching TV, Misty Greens, sitting outside in the sun, many a fun times at Mister G's, traveling, cruises and casino trips with her friends and family, especially those times spent with Michael and Kathy Wagoner, Greg and Linda Wagoner and her friends at Mr. G's. Thank you all, for loving our Mom!
