Coy E. Dillon, 87, of South Bend, IN, passed away after a short illness on Monday, November 4, 2024. He is survived by his son, Mark, and in-state and out-of-state extended family.
Mr. Dillon was a metallurgical salesman for U.S. Steel for 25 years. After a short early retirement, he went on to successfully work for Feralloy, Gerrard, and other steel companies. He married Jolanda Danko Dillon on January 11, 1958; she recently passed away on October 1, 2024. They were married 65.5 years.
As was his wife, Mr. Dillon was a proponent of historic restoration, and together they restored a Victorian manse into Grace Hall Bed and Breakfast in 1984, located in Selma, Alabama. Mr. and Mrs. Dillon retired in 2002, and the house is now privately owned.
Memorial services are to be announced.
