Cynthia "Cindy" Lynn Tomlonson (August 5, 1965 - April 26, 2025)
Elkhart, Indiana - Cindy Tomlonson, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away at her daughter's home to be with God on April 26, 2025.
Born on August 5, 1965, Cindy graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1983 and spent most of her life in Elkhart. She is survived by her mother, Cheryl Crow; sister, Lisa Frizzle, and brother-in-law, Mike Frizzle; partner, Mike Altenhof; daughter, Monica Tomlonson; daughter, Darcy Tomlonson, and son-in-law, Matt Allen; grandsons, Carter McFarland, Malikye Allen, and Makayo Allen; granddaughter, Mylasia; niece, Alex Boles; and cousins, Sharon and Nancy. She is predeceased by her father, Jerold "Jerry" Crow.
Cindy was the rock of her family, loved spending time with her grandbabies, and cherished moments with them. She enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing and camping, and spent happy times at Eagle Lake and Silver Beach. She adored animals and rescued many. She loved everyone and helping others. She loved being a waitress, worked at Crown, ran a home daycare, and worked at CTS Automotive for many years. She'd often say, "Look for blue butterflies, and whenever you see them, you know I'm there."
Cindy also loved going to Hacienda and having a good time with family and friends. She couldn't pass them up on their margaritas either. Cindy loved watching "Little House on the Prairie" and "I Love Lucy."
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care. A celebration of Cindy's life is being planned and will be announced at a later date.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Center for Hospice for their compassionate care and support during Cindy's final days. Your kindness and dedication meant the world to her and her loved ones.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to help with funeral expenses, and the family would be grateful for your generosity.
