Daniel R. Buchanan

MISHAWAKA-Daniel R. Buchanan, 76, passed away April 4, 2026.  He was born August 24, 1949, in Des Moines, IA to Russel & Mary (Roland) Buchanan.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mary “Kathleen” Buchanan,

  Surviving is a son, Keith Buchanan, 2 grandchildren, Heather Lamley, Natasha Buchanan, 3 great-grandchildren, Walker, Joseph, Liam and a brother, Ted Buchanan.

  Daniel was a U.S. Army Veteran, a former pilot and also a truck driver.  In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, making model planes, and camping.  He will be remembered for his stubborn and witty personality. 

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
