Daniel Swindler

ELKHART-Daniel Swindler, 66, went peacefully home to be with his Lord and Savior October 9, 2021, after a courageous 15-month battle with chondrosarcoma. He was born June 16, 1955, in South Bend to Ronald & Elaine (Fites) Swindler.

On August 16, 1978, he married Margaret “Meg” Golightly; she survives along with his father, sister, Debbie Richards, brother, Jay Swindler, niece, Jenna Harrington and nephew, Craig Richards. 

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Daniel was a radiology technologist and an ultra-sonographer. He was an avid golfer, fast car enthusiast, animal lover, enjoyed riding his bicycle and doing woodworking. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Mike Yergler, Dr. Joel Post and staff, Dr. Nibal Saad and staff, Dr. David Hornback and staff, the 10th floor Oncology Unit at Memorial Hospital, South Bend Orthopedics P.T. department as well as countless others. The support, love, and courage of his loyal friends, family and doctors gave Dan strength though the end.

Per his wishes there will be no services and cremation will take place. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Faith Mission in Elkhart or Catsnip Etc. in Goshen. 

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
