Born Darrell Edward Moore on November 13, 1956 to Delores and Edward Albert Moore, Jr. Darrell was a beautiful baby. He had straight curly hair, juicy lips and a beautiful chocolate complexion.  Darrell could fix just about anything and he painted like a professional.

He attended Isabelle O’Keefe grammar school and South Shore High School.  He also attended the Washburn Vocational School majoring in auto mechanics.  Darrell later became an employee of Inland Steel where he retired.

Darrell’s brother William (Romie) Tucker preceded him in death.  He leaves to mourn his ex-wife Michelle, his son Darrell and his grandson Darriyn, his son Michael, two sisters Daraline and Debra, one adopted sister Rasheedah, and son Kofi,  three nephews Johnny Witherspoon III, William Tucker Jr., Duane Pitts Jr., one niece Charmeita Witherspoon, an Aunt Sandra Jones and several great and grand nieces and nephews.  A best friend Elliot Mayfield and many cousins and friends.

The family wishes to give special recognition and thanks to Muriel, Marie and Sandy who were there to help him during his illness prior to his transition.

We’ll miss you, my friend.
