David E. Dean

Dear Family and Friends,

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of David Ellis Dean, age 87, who passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026.

Born on March 9, 1939, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, David was preceded in death by his parents, Grace and Robert Dean, and his brothers, Robert, Howard, and William Dean. He is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Misenar and Dorothy Miller.

David married Donna Adams and raised their family in Kalamazoo. He is the father of three children: Charles Dean of Delton, Michigan; Laura Janney of Fruitland Park, Florida; and Greg Dean of Bristol, Indiana.

David will be remembered for his love of nature, his sense of humor, and his appreciation for walking, classical music, reading, and playing pool with his friends at his retirement community.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and gathering will be held at a later date.
