David Howie Obituary

ELKHART-David R. Howie, 78, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2021. He was born February 7, 1943, in Selmer, TN to Everett & Icie (Jones) Howie. David grew up in Sparta, IL before moving to Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Gerald Howie, Willard Howie, and Jimmy Muskopf.

Surviving are 4 children, David Howie, Corrie Howie, Michael Howie, Michele Coleman, 5 grandchildren Shelby, Abby, Ariel, Heather, Samantha and 1 great-granddaughter, Jude. Also surviving are 8 siblings, Kevin Howie, Dottie Ricketts, Carol Magyar, Mary Gentry, Leisa Woods, Robert Muskopf, Richard Muskopf and Marie Mothershead.

David loved to hunt, do woodworking, play cards, and spend time with his family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
