Dennis L Heminger

FT. WAYNE-Dennis L. Heminger, 80, passed away May 18, 2025, at Majestic Care of Jefferson Point in Ft. Wayne.  He was born on January 20, 1945, in Elkhart.

  On January 9, 2000, he married Sharon Rogers; she survives along with 6 children, Scot (Sherann) Heminger, Wendy (Chris) Goley, Ginny Burch, Jessica Heminger, Amanda (Joe) Ferguson, Chenoa Heminger, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold & Ruth Heminger, and a brother, James Heminger.

  Dennis was a proud U.S. Army Veteran.  In his spare time he enjoyed metal detecting and playing his guitar.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and a private service will be held at a later date.

  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warriors Association.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
