Dennis J. Orszulak, affectionately known as Denny, was born on March 7, 1944, in South Bend, Indiana, and passed away on January 12, 2025, in Osceola, Indiana. Denny proudly served with the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Division, embodying the determination and steadfast spirit of a Screaming Eagle throughout his life.
Denny enjoyed a fulfilling career as a plant manager and consultant in manufacturing, where he made significant contributions to his field. However, his true legacy lies in his unwavering dedication to his family. He was a loving husband to Katherine, with whom he shared a passion for fishing, creating cherished memories on the water. Denny is survived by his devoted daughters: Rachel Kartman and her husband, Stephen; and Audrey Lipsky and her husband, Michael.
Denny was a proud grandfather to Dennis, Lindy, Joshua, and Emily, and he deeply valued his relationships with his beloved nieces and nephews.
Denny's spirit was characterized by generosity and kindness, impacting the lives of everyone who knew him. He often expressed his enthusiasm for life with his favorite saying, "Hammer down, baby!" His family was his proudest accomplishment, and he always prioritized them, above all else.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Michael Orszulak and Nona Marie (Wickizer) Orszulak. Denny is survived by his brother, Larry Orszulak and his wife, Nancy.
Denny received Last Rites, reflecting the profound spirituality he embraced. His presence will be missed, but his legacy of love, determination, and family connection will live on, in the hearts of those he touched.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at New Salem United Methodist Church, 52173 Ash Road, Granger, IN. Pastor Charles Mwale will preside.
