Diana “Dee Dee” L. Barrett, 62, passed away December 13, 2025, at Waterford Crossing in Goshen surrounded by family.  She was born January 18, 1963, in Elkhart.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey & Ethyle (Schoen) Halsey, brother, Harvey “Randy” Halsey, sister, Barbara Trevino, and a nephew, Joel “Todd” Trevino.

  Surviving is a sister, Joanne Trevino, niece, Amy Trevino, nephew, Scott Trevino, niece-in-law, Tara Trevino, 3 great-nephews, Nicholas Trevino, Seth Trevino, Alex Trevino, and a great-niece, Allison Trevino.

  Dee Dee graduated from Memorial High School in 1982.  She enjoyed crocheting in her spare time and doing many activities that were provided at her home. 

  Per her wishes cremation will take place and a graveside service will be held a later date at Prairie Street Cemetery.

  The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Waterford Crossing for the wonderful care they took of Dee Dee over the last 17 years; making her truly feel at home. 

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
