Dorothy Alderman Obituary

Dorothy Marie Alderman, age 72, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on January 2, 1954, in Akron, Ohio, Dorothy was the beloved daughter of Vernon and Marie Watson. She grew up surrounded by family and carried those strong bonds throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Dwight Watson and Dale Watson, and is survived by her brother Jim (Mary) Watson of Ohio.

Dorothy was a loving and devoted mother to her three children: her daughter Tricia, and her sons John Alderman and Paul Alderman. She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Cody, Shayna, Jade, Lacy (Christian), Alexis (Apolinar) Jordan (Darcy) Dominic, and Kayden, and a cherished great-grandmother to Presley,  Dakota, James, Helen, Ivy, and Auriela. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

Dorothy had a deep love for the simple joys in life. She found peace walking along the beach collecting rocks seashells and sand dollars, exploring hiking trails, and visiting lighthouses. She enjoyed playing games, especially her favorite, Scrabble, and was known for her warmth, laughter, and the genuine connections she shared with her many friends.

Dorothy will be remembered for her kind heart, her strength, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Though cancer may have taken her from this world, it will never take away the love and memories she leaves behind.
