Dorothy (Dottie) Ann (Larson) Prugh, 66, passed away at her residence in Mishawaka, IN on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She was born on June 6, 1957, in Romulus, MI to Charles B and Dorothy Gail (Counter) Larson.
She is survived by her children Michelle (James) Frediani of Batavia, IL, Chris Nephew of Great Falls, MT, and James (Shannon) Nephew Jr of Great Falls, MT. She also had 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. There are three of her sisters and one brother as well as many friends that loved her like family. Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Larry Prugh, and her daughter Jamie Nephew Mendoza Aluiso, as well as one brother and one sister.
Dottie had a Yorkie dog named Baby. They loved each other dearly and went everywhere together. Baby was with her until the very end. Thankfully, a close friend has adopted her.
Some of Dottie's favorite activities were spending time with family and friends, crocheting and giving away many blankets, watching movies on the Hallmark Channel, and helping people.
There will be a Celebration of Life reception on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm at Wally Mills Zimmerman Funeral Home in Elkhart, IN. There will not be a service and cremation will take place per Dottie's wishes so there will not be a viewing.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest to plant a tree (link will be provided) or make a donation to Veteran Services - Volunteers of America in Great Falls, MT in Dottie's memory.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
