ELKHART-Dorothy M. Rucker, 78, passed away March 1, 2025, at her home in Elkhart.  She was born May 14, 1946, in Charleston, WV.

  Surviving are 2 children, Christina (Blake) Manley, Joseph (Charity) Rucker, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and 4 siblings.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Lorraine (Kembler) Hudnall, husband, William Rucker, and 3 siblings.

  Dorothy enjoyed doing crafts in her younger years.  She enjoyed volunteering at the D.A.V. #19 and the Bristol American Legion #143 in her spare time.

  Per her wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  She will be laid to rest at a later date at Prairie Street Cemetery next to her husband.

  Memorial contributions may be given to any Veteran service organization. 

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
