Dorothy Singleton Obituary
ELKHART-Dorothy L. Singleton, 97, who was a 90-year resident of Osceola passed away June 23, 2022, at her home in Elkhart. She was born August 3, 1924, in South Bend to Russell & Rose (Sanger) McClure.
On May 19, 1943, she married Norval “Bud” Singleton; he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Sharon Richmond, 1 granddaughter, and 2 sisters.
Surviving is a daughter, Diana (David) Emerson, 5 grandchildren, Jeffery (Luda) Emerson, Julie (Matt) Cooper, Jason Emerson, Brian (Angie) Richmond, Anne Marie Richmond, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
Dorothy enjoyed sewing, tending to her flower garden, and was known for her muffins and cookies that she loved to share with everyone.
Per her wishes cremation will take place and a private family graveside will be held at a later date in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.
Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
