Florence E. Beattie

Florence E. Beattie, 76, passed away October 8, 2021 at her home in Elkhart.  She was born October 24, 1944 in Sullivan, IN to Pearson & Marion (Mair) Gibson.

  On April 6, 1972 in Elkhart she married Kenneth Beattie; he survives along with 4 children, Troy Hines, Todd Hines, Trent Hines and Veronica Current.  Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a brother, Paul Gibson. 

  She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 son, Jeff Beattie.

  Florence graduated Pine Village High School and received here Associates Degree from Southwest Michigan College.  She previously worked for Plumrose Foods, MSC and was a registered nurse.

  A gathering of family and friends will be held 1 hour prior to the 12 Noon celebration of life service Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Bristol Missionary Church.  Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery and officiating will be Pastor Rod Holmes.

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
