Gloria Jean Brown

MISHAWAKA- Gloria Jean Brown, 54, of Mishawaka, passed away suddenly on August 8th, 2023 at Memorial Hospital surrounded by family.
She was born on May 30th, 1969 in Danville, Illinois to Morris & Kathy Starkey. She is survived by her parents, sisters, 5 children, and 7 grandchildren. Her children are Holly (Dominic) Hall, Kevin (Jessica) Brown, Zachary (Danielle) Brown, Austin (Janelle) Brown, Paul (Jason) Brown.
Known by many as Shiny Glo or Momma Glo, Gloria's tenacious spirit and optimism live on in memory. She persevered through countless challenges, but nothing kept her down. As a passionate Christian, she held daily bible studies and devotionals. She adored frogs and acquired quite a collection of knick-knacks.
She made the best of any situation and had a large, active community on social media. She was an author and entrepreneur; having written her autobiography and selling handmade jewelry at her "Glam by Glo" pop-up shops.
Gloria was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by friends and family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday, August 20th, 2023 from 3pm to 5pm EST at Walley Mills Zimmerman Funeral Home: 700 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, IN 46516. To celebrate her memory, we are inviting attendees to wear bright & colorful attire.
