Harry Deppe, Jr. Obituary

Harry Lee Deppe, Jr., of Elkhart, Indiana, was born on June 7, 1960, in Wichita Falls, Texas. Harry went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024. He was 64 years of age and peacefully passed away at home.

Harry was a fisherman, hunter, collector of military memorabilia and an avid World of Tanks player (Armormarine was his Game Tag)!

Harry was raised in the church and served the Lord his whole life. He was an armor specialist who served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and was honorably discharged on January 29, 1984. He took his job very seriously in the Marines, where he saved many lives. He adored his prized buck that hangs on the wall in his study space, claimed on November 3, 2010. He really loved attending gun shows, you could always find him at a table talking and telling his stories. They were all family to him. He also loved flame throwers in which, if you weren’t working on them, you would enjoy the show.

Harry is survived by his loving wife, Linda L. Deppe; mother, Judith Deppe; sister, Terri Deppe; children, Scott Deppe, Shane Deppe (Ashley Deppe), Steven Deppe, Harry Deppe III, Shawn Bender, David Bender, Tyler Kuykendall (Bender); and grandchildren, Chloe Deppe, Kourtlyn Deppe, Sophie Deppe, Brooklyn Deppe, Seth Deppe, Camron Stitt, Karyn Stitt, Amara Deppe and Shane Deppe, Jr.

Harry was preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas V. and Evelyn A. (Brooks) Deppe, Royal E. (Buck) and Lucille (Reece) Garrett; father, Harry L. Deppe, Sr.; sister, “Baby” Cindy Deppe; grandchildren, Casey and Shane Deppe; uncle, Daniel Dean Deppe; and extended family.

Harry left his mark on many and will be missed greatly.
