James M. Grenert

James M. Grenert, 66, passed away on December 22, 2024, at his home in Elkhart, IN. He was born on March 14, 1958, in South Bend, IN.

James was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rose (Singleton) Grenert, as well as a son, James A. Grenert.

Surviving is a daughter, Andrea (Darren) Lee; a son, Zachary Tidey; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter, and another one on the way. Also surviving are six siblings: Rebecca, his twin Michael, Robert, Debbie, Jenny, and Sally.   

James worked for the State of Indiana for over 30 years, until he retired in 2020. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing video games, traveling, but most importantly, he loved his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a generous and selfless man with a kind soul.

Per his wishes, cremation will take place, and there will be no services. Memorial contributions may be given to the Center for Hospice Care.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
