James Charles Grose

ELKHART-James C. Grose, 79, passed away April 12, 2026, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born February 25, 1947, in St. Joseph County, IN.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Mary Grose, wife, Etta Grose, and a daughter, Jenney Shruley.

  Surviving is a son, Jimmy L. Grose, and a sister, Carol.

  James was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and a former member of the American Legion.  He was a very talented artist and will be remembered for his loving, caring, and compassionate nature.

  In honor of James and how he himself donated to the Faith Mission in Elkhart, memorial contributions may be given there are well.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. 

  Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
