James Terrell Wood

Elkhart , Indiana.   -   James Terrell Wood passed away peacefully 7/11//2025. He was born November 7, 1939 in Elkhart Indiana to Lavonne Eileen and William Kenneth Wood.

Surviving are his stepdaughters Dawn (Randy) Windbigler of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Diana Keen of Elkhart Indiana, a stepsons Daniel Keen of Colorado Springs, Colorado, David Keen of Elkhart Indiana, and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Wood, his parents, and stepson Dale Keen. 

He graduated from Elkhart High School in 1958. Drafted into the Army 1964 - 1966, Served in the US Army Reserves from 1966 - 1970. A member of the American Legion. 

Married Helen Keen 7/29/1977.

James worked at Patrick Industries 1964 - 2005 until his retirement. He was an avid Chess player, loved to play in local tournaments and held the title of master. James loved  politics and history. 

A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremations Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
