Janet Carolyn Clark

Janet Carolyn Clark, 77, passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. She was born on February 3, 1947 in Elkhart to Floyd E. and Helen H. (White) Walters.

On July 24, 1965 in Adamsville, MI, Janet married Jerry E. Clark, who survives. In addition to her loving husband of 59 years, Janet is survived by her two daughters, Jodi Gilbert and Julie Stankovich, both of Elkhart; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Floyd (Jan) Walters of Elkhart; sister, Donna Schenk of Elkhart; and numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery A. Clark; daughter, Jeanette C. Maggart; grandchildren, Jessi Clark and Jason Givens; father, Floyd E. Walters; mother, Helen H. Keck; and two brothers, Jerry Canfield and Timothy Canfield.

Janet was employed as a cook, waitress and housekeeper at various points in her life. She was a member of Women of the Moose and DAV Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, knitting and sewing. Janet especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Janet’s life will be held at a later date. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with her care.
