Janet "Rosemary" LaGrand, 75 passed away unexpectedly at her Elkhart home on August 13, 2023 with her family by her side.
Rosemary was born on October 13, 1947 in St. Louis,Missouri to Orville Seasel LaGrand and Mabel Rose Hale. She moved to Elkhart with her family at 9. Rosemary would often recount the fun childhood she spent in Elkhart with her life long best friend and sister- in-law Karen McBride.
Rosemary was always known for her charming sense of humor. Laughter was the best medicine according to Rosemary. She will be remembered as a hard worker,having worked as a caretaker for over 20 years.She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan her entire life.One of Rosemary's favorite pastimes was watching the Cubs games on TV with her grandchildren. Rosemary had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. Her favorite artist were Elvis Presley and Luther Vandross.Rosemary was the life of any party. She enjoyed playing card games like Euchre and having fun with her friends and family.
Rosemary is survived by her children Dawn ( Bill ) Feuquay, Anthony Washington, and Ronald (Teresa) LaGrand, five grandchildren. Ricci (Ruth) Thompson, Libby Feuquay, Gabby Feuquay, Kenneth and Christopher Bartell, two great grandchildren Karena Thompson and Camron Roufai, and two sister-in-laws.
She is preceeded in death by both of her parents, her three brothers and her son Eric.
Rosemary especially will be remembered for her fiery spirit that left an amazing impact on everyone she met. She saw no race, gender, or age. She was a friend and mother to everyone who knew her and could change their entire day with just a smile.
Rosemary's celebration of life will be held Saturday September 16th at Pierre Moran Park Pavillion at 5pm.
