SOUTH BEND-Janice M. Buwa, 75, passed away January 23, 2022, at her home in South Bend. She was born February 28, 1946, in South Bend to John & Delores (Roher) Kendall.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 children, Tina Frost, Floyd Buwa, 3 siblings, JoAnn Fugate, June Wise, and John Kendall Jr.

Surviving are 6 siblings, Cindy (Tom) Hood, Judy (Jerry) Holaway, Joy (Rick) Jackowich, Jack (Connie) Kendall, Jeff (Tina) Kendall, Jerome (Sherril) Kendall, 6 grandchildren, Tracy Melendez, Samantha Buwa, Jason Buwa, Tiffany Kipp, Robert Frost, Angel Michaels, 7 great-grandchildren, Damien Michaels, Emelia Michaels, Elora Buwa, Juan Melendez, Ryder Melendez, Benjamin Kipp and Jettson Kipp. Also surviving is a son-in-law, Rodney Frost.

Janice enjoyed reading, listening to country music, audio books, watching soap operas, lifetime movies, playing on her tablet, and always had a Dr. Pepper in her hand. She was a very kindhearted woman that always put her family first and truly lived for her children.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.

Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
