Jeffery Brent Rader

Jeffery B. Rader, 66, of Coldwater, MI (formerly of Goshen, IN) died Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Ft. Wayne, IN. Jeff was born to Victor P. Rader, Jr. and Joan B. (Leatherman) Rader on July 21, 1958. Jeff was a 1976 graduate of Goshen High School, and spent most of his life in the Goshen, IN area. Before retiring from Lozier in Middlebury, he worked many years for Syndicate, formerly known as Homecrest. In retirement, he bought a home near the lake in Kinderhook, MI and enjoyed driving for Uber and Lyft; listening to people’s life stories. Jeff loved his dogs, NASCAR, and watching basketball games. He was adamant about being a donor for the Indiana Donor Network, which spoke to his character, generosity and kind heart. Jeff is survived by two children, Brandy (Lachlan) Cavanagh of Goshen, IN, and Christopher (Kristina Middleton) Rader of Andrews, IN; three grandchildren, Morgan Cavanagh, Griffin (Madisyn) Cavanagh, and James Middleton; and a great granddaughter, Nova Cavanagh. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, David Rader, Sr. Arrangements were entrusted to Elkhart Cremation Services. A graveside service will be held Friday, July 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Violett Cemetery, Goshen, IN.
