Jeffrey Hiemstra Obituary

Jeffrey Hiemstra, a proud veteran of the Vietnam War passed away on 5/14/2023 of natural causes at the age of 71.

Jeff was born on 12/24/1951 to Ray & Ann Hiemstra in Niles, Michigan. Jeff grew up in Cassopolis, Mi where he graduated high school in 1970.

Directly after graduating at the age of 18. Jeff enlisted in the United States Marine Core. He deeply valued the 6 years he served in the USMC. Jeff later enlisted n the U.S. ARMY at the same time as his brother Pete. Jeff retired from the ARMY after serving 14 years for a total of 20 years of military service.

Jeffrey Hiemstra is survived by his brothers, Mike & Pete, and his sons, David and Wesley. His loved ones will remember how much he loved the military and his country. He loved to fish , or just be around fishing, Playing pool, and following politics.

The Funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
